“An obsession is where something will not leave your mind.” – Eric Clapton

“Obsession is the wellspring of genius and madness.” – Michel de Montaigne

“Be obsessed or be average.” – Grant Cardone

“The difference between passion and obsession is that between a divine spark and a flame that incinerates.” – Gabor Maté

“Obsession is a skeleton key, hidden in the walls of your psyche by your 10-year-old self. There is a core game, a core activity, a core compulsion, all of us are designed for. We can’t control it. We can’t stop it. All we can do, is direct it. Some love to read. Some love to run. Some love to write. Some love to design. Some love to build. Some love to sell. But life gets complicated. Humans get busy. And years, or even decades can pass, and the maze leading to that key gets longer and longer. If you’re searching for your obsession- you might be pulled towards the people you admire. You think you need to be obsessed with what they are. This is a fallacy of ambition. Your obsession is happening right now. Your obsession has always happened. Your obsession will always happen. And so- all that matters is recognizing the ‘invisible game’ you play in your head. It never turns off. Even when you ignore it. It sits beneath the surface of your consciousness, gears turning, working quietly, waiting to erupt. Once you do recognize it, and let it consume you- everything changes. You build and create like you never thought you could. And like a skeleton key, it will unlock all doors.” – @zachpogrob

“You won’t make it without obsession. But nobody starts out obsessed. They start out curious. They experiment. They build things. They break things, They fail. And eventually they can’t pull themselves away. Curiosity turns into obsession with time and persistence.” – @thedankoe
